PLEASE NOTE: the Langtons are retiring at the end of November 2025. As everyone scrambles to finish that "one last project" both their stock and mine are dwindling quickly. They will no longer be able to restock me on the ACW, Renaissance, Ancients, and Anglo-Dutch lines. I am adjusting inventory levels as quickly as possible, so please bear with me as you place orders. Stock will be limited to what's shown on the website. Sadly, it's the end of an era! Thanks for your support! Also, my email has changed. All correspondence should go to robeubanks9940@gmail.com.
This highly versatile 3-masted vessel was brought to prominence by the corsairs of the Barbary Coast. The navies of France and Spain soon copied the vessel when they saw what great sailing qualities it had. Chebecs, Xebecs, or Zebecs, as they were variously called, made excellent cargo vessels. However, it is in their more aggressive role that they are most remembered...either crammed with bloodthirsty North African pirates or acting as light frigates for Spain and France.
Model specifications: overall length of the resin hull including the poop deck but not the bowsprit, is 140mm. Beam width is 32mm. White metal parts include the poop deck, mast and fittings. The sails and side decorations are photo-etched brass.
For sea base, use NNL50.
